Dr. Dawson, also a previous RePORT South Africa investigator, is a Consultant Pulmonologist and Managing Director & Clinical Research Unit Head, UCTLI. He has established two prospective research cohorts including the “Longitudinal Pulmonary HIV” cohort and the “TB Biostorage” cohorts and has longstanding collaborations with Drs. Hatherill and Walzl through the ACTG network, novel therapeutic vaccine trials, and the PREDICT trial. Drs. Dheda and Dawson will jointly lead the UCTLI clinical site activities, screening for recruitment into Common Protocol Cohort A.
