Novel stepwise approach to assess representativeness of a large multicenter observational cohort of tuberculosis patients: The example of RePORT Brazil

It is with great pleasure that we share our recently published paper on the representativeness of RePORT Brazil compared with the Brazilian National Tuberculosis Program TB registry, confirming that the RePORT results will likely be generalizable to the larger TB patient population in Brazil and that outcomes in RePORT Brazil can provide important information regarding policies for TB control in our country.

This was a great collaboration with PNCT/SINAN, RePORT Brazil investigators/analysts, and staff. We hope that this is just the first important RePORT – SINAN collaboration.

The paper was published Nov 14th in the International Journal of Infectious Diseases.
