Dr. Mariana works primarily with the identification of immunological and genetic biomarkers linked to susceptibility to infection, treatment failure, and mortality during treatment. Her project within the future leaders program utilizes cutting-edge multiomics approaches and systems biology tools to elucidate the pathophysiology of TB infection, define disease endotypes, and identify predictive markers of TB infection progression to active TB.
