Dr. Jungsik Yoo is the director of the Division of Bacterial Disease Research, Korea National Institute of Infectious Disease (KNIID), Korea National Institute of Health (KNIH). She is currently working on planning research projects focusing on tuberculosis, NTM, bacterial respiratory disease, and managing international and domestic research projects supported by intramural grant. She has performed her own research project about developing therapeutic drugs and biomarkers, and advancing diagnostic system. She received her PhD in molecucar biology at Korea University. She has conducted studies on diagnosis of AMR pathogens and the mechanism of antimicrobial resistance. And also developed non-traditional antimicrobials at KNIH since 1996.
