Dr. Belisle, Professor, Colorado State University (CSU), has 20 years’ experience in characterization of the physiology and host-interaction of Mycobacterium tuberculosis; purification and characterization of bacterial proteins, lipids, and glycolconjugates; and the definition of specific molecular interactions involving the innate immune response. His laboratory has utilized and developed numerous methodologies and analytical techniques that include mass spectrometry, liquid- and gas-chromatography, and electrophoresis. His role will be to evaluate the urine metabolic profile of symptomatic patients (Cohort A) and Mtb-exposed individuals screened for TB (Cohort B).
