Jinsoo Min is a pulmonologist and TB researcher, treating patients with TB as an attending pulmonologist at a university-affiliated hospital. His research broadly focuses on various aspects of TB infection, ranging from latent TB infection to active TB disease, covering both drug-susceptible and drug-resistant TB. As a principal investigator, Jinsoo oversees a multi-center prospective cohort study and conduct translational and clinical research to assess risk factors and biomarkers for anti-TB treatment outcomes in Korea. In his role as a public health specialist, he evaluates the performance of the Public-Private Mix TB control project in Korea and provides an evidence-based approach to strengthen TB control policies through operational research. The programmatic management of drug-resistant TB is another key area of his interest. Serving as a member of the National TB Expert Review Committee, Jinsoo contributes to supporting clinical management and advising individualized treatment plans for MDR-TB. Additionally, he conduct cross-sectional and cohort studies using the national healthcare claims database. Leveraging this database, his research team developed a cohort database of latent TB infection in congregate settings, offering new insights into the natural history of latent TB infection.
