Prof. Erlina Burhan is a distinguished Professor of Respiratory Medicine at Universitas Indonesia and Persahabatan Hospital. A globally recognized tuberculosis (TB) expert, She is also a Board Member of the Stop TB Partnership representing the Private Sector Providers constituency and board member of the Union.
She actively mobilizes the medical community, leading a national coalition to engage health professionals in the fight against TB. Her impactful research includes serving as Principal Investigator for critical studies, such as the M72/AS01E vaccine clinical trial and TRUNCATE-TB a shorter regimen for DS-TB. With leadership in numerous pivotal trials that have shaped international treatment guidelines, Prof. Burhan is committed to translating research into practice for equitable TB care worldwide.
