Dr. Charles Yu is an internationally recognized pulmonologist and expert on Tuberculosis and lung diseases who has served as National Chairman of the Philippine Coalition against Tuberculosis, President of the Philippine College of Physicians (PCP), and President of the Philippine College of Chest Physicians (PCCP). A TB life-long advocate, clinician, researcher and clinical epidemiologist, Dr. Yu has led several clinical trials on various topics especially in TB, asthma, COPD, influenza and COVID-19 vaccines. His research interests are TB epidemiology, modelling and development of drugs for MDR-TB and biomarkers for early diagnosis. As a Project Leader/Principal Investigator of the RePORT Philippines – De La Salle Medical and Health Sciences Institute, he collaborates with other RePORT International Consortium members and supervises the implementation of the RePORT projects on site.
