Dr. Andrade is a physician-scientist with a focus on human immunology. He is currently the Principal Investigator of the Investigative Medicine Unit, Laboratory of Inflammation and Biomarkers at the Gonçalo Moniz Institute, Oswaldo Cruz Foundation, in Salvador, Bahia, Brazil. He is also a Full Professor of Medicine at UniFTC, UNIFACS and Bahiana School of Medicine and Public Health. He coordinates a multinational group of translational medicine (MONSTER Initiative) that merges experimental and clinical data to describe inflammatory pathways involved in the immunopathogenesis of tuberculosis and HIV. Dr. Andrade is the Principal Investigator of the RePORT Brazil consortium and director of the Biorepository of the common protocol in Brazil.
