Dr. Leslie, Associate Professor, University of KwaZulu-Natal (UKZN) and Wellcome Trust Senior Fellow, Division of Infection and Immunity, University College of London (UCL) and Africa Health Research Institute (AHRI), is a previous RePORT investigator. He has focused on investigating the immunology of TB and HIV in studies of tissue-specific immune responses in the human lung, using multi-color flow cytometry and mass cytometry, and ex-vivo functional assays with transcriptomic of sorted populations and single cell sequencing. Dr. Leslie will oversee screening for Cohort A and conduct exploratory sputum neutrophil protein assays at the AHRI laboratory.
